Firefly Children’s Center
Firefly Children’s Center is a nature based, Waldorf inspired licensed child care and Preschool in Kalispell.
We provide nurturing, connected infant care through Pre-Kindergarten with creative hands on learning. We focus on the social/emotional development of the child and believe children learn best through play. Through play, children are given opportunities to work and problem solve with their peers, express their feelings and learn from one another. While we are focusing on the social/emotional development, children are learning their shapes, colors, numbers and letters naturally through their environment throughout the day.

To provide nurturing and connected infant care, in order for our children to be healthy, we need to instill resilience and creativity in early childhood. Individuality and special talents are developed through creative, abstract play and thinking. Respect and Gratitude of the Earth is presented through reusing and recycling.
Preschool Program
We offer a full-day or half-day preschool program. Children attending our program participate in circle time, movement activities, music and art. We follow Little Acorn Curriculum, which focuses on weekly themes as well as social/emotional skills. While we do learning activities throughout the day, 9am – 12pm is the must structured portion of our preschool time.
Infant Care
Firefly offers full day care for infants ages 6 weeks – 24 months. Individual feeding schedules for children still nursing or on formula are accommodated and mothers are encouraged to come by to nurse their children. Children who are eating solid foods are offered our organic whole food options as well. Children are exposed to many sensory opportunities as well as art projects that go along with our curriculum themes. Baby sign language is encouraged, and social/emotional skills are taught.
Wholesome Care
We will provide a unique, mind, body, and soul approach to natural learning! Organic, whole foods, natural and wooden toys that encourage creativity. Baby sign language, spanish, music, art, yoga, meditation and more!
